About Us

We protect the diversity that feeds the world.

CropSecurity.org is a mission-driven organization working at the intersection of crop conservation, farmer resilience, and food security — so no family is ever one bad season away from hunger.

Our Vision

A world where every harvest can withstand what's coming.

Crop diversity is humanity's oldest insurance policy. For ten thousand years, farmers saved and shared the seeds that survived drought, pests, and hard seasons — quietly building a living library of resilience. In a single century, we've let most of it disappear.

We exist to reverse that loss. By conserving at-risk varieties, putting resilient seed and knowledge back into farmers' hands, and connecting communities to fair markets, we turn fragile food systems into durable ones — season after season, generation after generation.

What Guides Us

Four beliefs behind everything we do.

Diversity is resilience

A field of many varieties survives what a monoculture cannot. Protecting genetic diversity is protecting our ability to adapt.

Farmers first

The people who grow our food know their land best. We build with farming communities, not for them — and success is measured on their terms.

Local knowledge, lasting impact

Traditional seed-keeping and local expertise are irreplaceable. We document, honor, and strengthen the knowledge already in the community.

Transparency & stewardship

We treat every gift and every partnership as a responsibility — measured, reported honestly, and directed to where it grows the most resilience.

Our Process

From seed bank to dinner table.

  1. 1

    Identify

We work with local communities to find at-risk crop varieties and vulnerable farming regions.

  2. 2

    Conserve

Seeds and traditional knowledge are documented, banked, and protected for the long term.

  3. 3

    Train

Farmers receive hands-on education in resilient, sustainable growing practices.

  4. 4

    Sustain

Ongoing support, market access, and monitoring ensure the impact lasts beyond a single season.
